After trying to sell Coe 4-5 times, and no-one was interested (!), I decided perhaps Coe was like Sioux at the same age, trying to give me a big hint about wanting to stay. So I started training him and within 5 minutes of his first trip to sheep, I liked the wee dog. He was all business. And so here we are almost 3 months later and Coe is coming along really well. He is a very enthusiastic outrunner, can bring sheep with lovely balance and is a fairly competent driver. He is still learning his whistles and occasionally gets a flank wrong, but heck, he's very young. He's just starting to learn to shed and while he hasn't quite got the hang of it yet, this wee lad has a natural desire to hold. For his age, Coe is showing lots of potential. Kelvin ran Coe in his first nursery trial at the age of 11 months and finished 5th in the Puppy Class.
