Self-Catering Cottage (accommodates 5-6 people)
Self-catering holiday accommodation is available in our modest but comfortable stone cottage. The original part of the cottage is over 150 years old, whilst the additions are much younger. It is a fairly typical small Welsh stone cottage.
The cottage consists of:
- two double bedrooms with king sized beds in each room,
- one bedroom has a small ensuite bathroom with toilet and bath,
- one sitting room with a king sized bed,
- all beds have electric blankets,
- another sitting room with a soapstone stove and library with an excellent range of books,
including children's books for our younger guests to enjoy,
- a fully fitted kitchen,
- a comfortable conservatory with dining table, sitting area (with additional sofa bed) and another soapstone stove,
- utility room with clothes washer, fridge/ freezer, and
- shower room with electric shower.
- The cottage is a dog friendly.
The cottage is cosy and warm in the winter with central heating provided by radiators (heated through a pellet boiler) and two soapstone stoves for additional heat if needed. It is a non-smoking environment. Well behaved pets are welcome in the cottage.

We are situated right on the western edge of the Brechfa Forest with a gate immediately off our forest hayfield into the forest. There are many walking, running and mountain biking trails.
Mountain Biking - Brechfa is a perfect destination for everyone from novices and families to the fearless, thrill seeking riders. Mountain Bike Wales has some excellent information on the trails available. These trails are 15 minutes away.
Herding - training sheep are available at all times and are right outside your front door. Because we are a working farm, we might have to move ewes and lambs to another field in order to use the hill areas for training purposes, or you may have to train on fields at the top of the farm if we are unable to move ewes and lambs from the main training field (if the weather is bad, for example).
Sheepdog Trials - We host 3-4 trials a year and offer a wonderful base for those wanting to come to Wales to compete in sheepdog trials and train when not competing.
